However, the internet and social media have made it so that not only some people, but the entire world can see these odd encounters. Don’t think so? Take this recently posted TikTok video, for example. The clip has around 32K likes and 775K views, as an Illinois man can be seen pushing around a human-sized doll in a wheelchair while attending the zoo.
The TikTok video would then start off with the person recording zooming in on the man and his human-sized doll. The object is also shaped to look like a woman and is sitting in a wheelchair, so the Illinois man can transport it more easily. Viewers can also see in the clip that a group of people has approached the man asking about his doll. The older man then shakes one of their hands as they continue their conversation.
However, it would appear that while the other group of people seems fine with the Illinois man’s human-sized doll, the person recording is not. The text on the video reads, “The stuff you see at the zoo.” This makes it seem as though the person behind the camera is very creeped out and disturbed by what they are seeing.
TikTok Reacts To Illinois Man’s Zoo Trip
The TikTok comment section also seemed to share these feelings, as many users would hurry to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions about the encounter. One person asked, “Why is everyone acting like it’s normal?” Another wrote, “This is actually scary.” A different commenter then pointed out, “This just makes me feel incredibly sad for him.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “So nobody else thinks this is extremely weird?”
As the TikTok clip goes on, the person behind the camera cuts the clip. However, when it returns, viewers get a new angle of the Illinois man and his doll. The man can be seen walking right by the person recording, as they film him and feed their child at the same time. This time, viewers get an even better look at the doll, and they can see that it is dressed up in clothes and even has a stuffed animal.
Sadly, the TikTok would then come to an end once the Illinois man walks past the person recording him. At the end of the day, this was certainly a strange encounter, and being a little creeped out is a pretty natural response. Yet, this man wasn’t hurting anyone; he was just enjoying the zoo with a human-sized doll in the shape of a woman. Hopefully, everyone was able to move past it and enjoy their outing with their families.
