California Hit-and-Run Accident Gets Live Coverage Thanks To Local Social Media Reporter: ‘Real Journalism’
Driving a car or any kind of motorized vehicle is something that countless Americans do every single day. However, that doesn’t make it any less dangerous. There are so many clips online that depict just how much of a hazard the roadway really is. Take this recently posted TikTok video, for example. The clip has around 40.3K likes and 407.9K views as a random California man gives some boots-on-the-ground journalism following an unfortunate hit-and-run car accident.
Sadly, the TikTok video would start off with the event already having taken place. Yet, with that being said, the man recording still gets to the scene in time to get his story. Viewers then get a good look at the damage caused by the hit-and-run, as the left bumper of the mobile home that was struck is completely shattered. The California man would then begin his introduction as he states that he is reporting live from the scene.
The California reporter would also get a closer look at the damaged mobile home with large shards of wood and metal scattered around the street it is parked on. Finally, the man would turn the camera to see another person standing amongst the wreckage. It would appear as though whoever hit the first vehicle had also hit this man’s car. Yet, the damage done to the second vehicle is nowhere near as bad as the first car.
TikTok Reacts To California Man’s Internet Journalism
The TikTok comment section also had a lot to say regarding this encounter, as many users would hurry to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes. “If I got into a car accident and heard ‘live from,’ I’d start to cry,” said one. Another pointed out, “I would be mad that it is legal for him to record my bad day.” A different commenter then joked, “I’m scared to crash and have you show up.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “This is some real journalism work right here.”
As the TikTok video goes on, the California man continues to do his reporting, despite one of the victims standing right in front of him. At this point, the second man would then get back into his car, in order to drive off. Viewers then get a good look at the second car’s damage, and it really isn’t too bad at all. Yet, it would seem the mobile home took the worst of the impact.
Sadly, the TikTok video would then start to come to an end. However, the California man would make a point to say that the mobile home did not have a pleasant smell coming from it. At the end of the day, it would seem as though nobody was injured from this hit-and-run accident, at least. As for the th person responsible, hopefully, they are brought to justice soon.
