A lot of the time, especially in big cities, if the weather is nice, restaurants will have an outdoor dining area. This is not a super uncommon practice even for places that don’t stay warm year-round. However, this recently posted TikTok video shows two Florida men as their outside lunch gets crashed by a very hungry four-legged friend. The clip has around 94K likes and 718K views, as social media users can’t get enough of this friendly Miami squirrel.
The TikTok video would then start off with the men sitting outside as they ate, attempting to enjoy their meal. However, the text on the screen pretty much sums the situation up perfectly, reading, “A rabid Miami squirrel terrorized us at lunch.” Suddenly, one of the Florida men can be seen covering his food with his napkin for some unknown reason. However, that reason would soon make itself known as a small squirrel then jumps up onto the man’s plate.
Luckily, the napkin was enough to keep the animal off of the food, as well as keep it from running off with any of the meal. As this transpired, the Florida man can be seen laughing as he seemingly can’t believe his eyes. He was a good sport about it, though, as he does not seem angry at the animal in the slightest.
TikTok Reacts To Determined Florida Squirrel
The TikTok comment section also had a lot to say regarding this encounter, as many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions. “This squirrel does not have rabies; it’s just used to human interaction,” wrote one. Another pointed out, “Cute, but you never know who has rabies.” Someone else then said, “Not going to lie, I woulda yeeted him across the parking lot.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “That’s how you know a ton of people have fed him, and now he’s entitled.”

As the TikTok video starts to come to an end, the Florida man can then be seen allowing the friendly squirrel to eat a French fry. The animal even sits itself on the man’s arm as it enjoys its little treat. After the squirrel is done eating, it can be seen jumping off the table and running off to cause more four-legged chaos.
At the end of the day, this was a very positive encounter with a wild animal. It is clear that this Florida squirrel is very used to humans, and most likely gets hand-fed every day. Nevertheless, humans should also take the proper precautions before engaging with wildlife. Luckily, this time nobody was hurt.
