Creative California Homeless Man Impresses With His Unique Way Of Asking For Spare Change: ‘Working From Home’
Sadly, in the United States of America, homelessness is still a pretty big issue. Even more so in the country’s major cities. Take this recently posted TikTok video as a perfect example of just how tough things have gotten out there. The clip has around 40K likes and 207K views as this California homeless man impresses pedestrians with his unique way of asking for spare change. Social media users seemingly can’t get enough of the encounter as the clip continues to go viral online.
The TikTok video would then start off with a man walking down the street. However, he stopped once he saw a massive box sitting on the sidewalk. The box also has a face carved into it like a jack-o’-lantern. A voice can then be heard coming from inside the box, and when the homeless California man spoke, he would move the box’s mouth to make it look like it was the one talking. The man recording can also be heard asking, “What are you doing in this box?“
Throughout the clip, users also hear the homeless man asking for spare change. Yet, he would do it by making the box’s mouth move and adding a funnier voice to really round things out. The man recording was blown away by the homeless person’s creativity, and even states that he will be giving him some money for this.
TikTok Reacts To Homeless California Man’s Hussle
The TikTok comment section also had a lot to say regarding this encounter, with many users rushing to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes. One person claimed that the homeless man was “Working from home.” Another wrote, “He’s not homeless; he’s a starving artist.” A different commenter then joked, “Tip the box monster!” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “That’s art, he’s genuinely working, and I respect that.“
As the TikTok video goes on, the two California men have a small conversation with one another. Finally, the man recording states that since the homeless man isn’t like the other homeless people just asking for money, he will, in fact, pay him. The box monster also has a little arm with a plastic cup taped to it, in order to collect the money.
Unfortenatly, the clip would then come to an end without a very proper ending. At the end of the day, it was a very unique way of asking for spare change, and a very creative one too. Hopefully, this homeless California man is able to make enough to get back on his feet. Everyone needs a little help every now and again, and it is nothing to be ashamed about.
