With that being said, this recently posted TikTok video has gone viral after this New York man is seen harvesting watermelons that he planted in random spots around Brooklyn.
The TikTok video would then start off with the man walking through an empty parking lot as it is dark outside. Yet, the text on the screen reads, “Harvesting some watermelons that I scattered around Brooklyn.” With the clip continuing, the New York man finally reaches a little spot in the parking lot that has some landscaping done. However, upon closer inspection, viewers can see a good-sized watermelon sticking out of the greenery.
The fully grown and ripe fruit is certainly ready to be picked, and that’s exactly what the man behind the camera does. Social media users can see everything from the plant’s leaves, the vine that the fruit itself grows from, and of course, the fruit itself. Finally, the man can be seen walking away with his harvest. He would then flip the camera around to show himself holding the fruit, and that only shows how well it really grew in that parking lot.
TikTok Reacts To New York Man’s Secret Brooklyn Fruit Gardens
The TikTok comment section was seemingly amazed by this as well, with many users rushing to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes regarding the matter. “Shoutout to the groundskeeper that saw it growing and left it alone,” said one. Another wrote, “Everyone start planting seeds and coming back for your harvest.” A different commenter then pointed out, “Careful, a lot of the soil in NYC is toxic! Full of heavy metals and pesticides.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I feel like Mamdani would approve of this.”
Sadly, the viral TikTok video would then come to an end following the New York man’s Brooklyn watermelon harvest. However, in the comment section, the creator explains that he has planted all kinds of fruits and vegetables all around Brooklyn. The video’s caption also states that the man’s neighbors allegedly call him the “Fruit fairy,” due to all of this. At the end of the day, this is a fun and harmless little project with plenty of upsides.
