Everyone has days when they don’t feel like cooking dinner and realize it may be easier to just run through the drive-thru and grab some fast food. However, one Ohio woman certainly regretted her decision to hit up a local KFC in Coshocton when she bit into a piece of chicken and couldn’t believe what she found.
In a TikTok video posted by @tori2d0pe, a pile of small chicken chunks can be seen as the Ohio woman uses her hands to sort through them. She picks one up and opens it up beyond the crunchy fried outside. Inside, the meat appears to be raw and pink. “I’m literally shaking, I’m so mad,” she says as she continues to examine the other pieces of chicken.
The fast food customer claims that first the KFC gave her “cold chicken” and then replaced it with “completely raw chicken.”

Her online viewers had a lot of opinions about the video. One person thought there was a possibility that it was fake. Another questioned why she would go to KFC in the first place. “I’m a mom that works full time and doesn’t get off work until 7. On this specific night, I did not want to cook. Shame on me,” she replied.
Others were sympathetic. “That’s nasty,” one person said. “This happens when the cook doesn’t heat the oil to the right temperature before dropping the chicken into the fryer,” another wrote.
The Health Risks of Undercooked Chicken
According to the CDC, being exposed to uncooked chicken can cause Campylobacter, Salmonella, or Clostridium germs. If you eat chicken that hasn’t been properly cooked, food poisoning is a concern. Unfortunately, around 1 million people get sick from eating contaminated poultry.
For some, food poisoning can be extremely dangerous. “Patients with weakened immune systems, such as those with a diagnosis of AIDS or those going through chemotherapy, can have worsened symptoms and more severe complications from food poisoning,” dietician Mia DiGeronimo, RD says, per DocLaughlin.
While KFC offered the Ohio woman a free meal, she says she has no interest in returning, and with the CDC’s warnings on undercooked poultry, it’s easy to see why.
